One of the hardest adjustments to make when starting university is changing how you write essays. Suddenly nothing will be your own opinion and you will need to spend hours and hours researching reputable sources to create the greatest reference list - the place the marker looks first. It's easy to get lost and overwhelmed but hopefully these tips can make it

Starting your senior years of high school or first years in university usually screams the end of your social life - the period where you must delete ALL distractions from your phone and personal life and stay glued to your desk for the next few years. While this approach may work for some, I could not imagine finishing high school and completing the HSC without Facebook.
Yes, Facebook can be a huge distraction and time waster, however it also provides many benefits to you during this time. Listed below are a few reasons why I think keeping your account or even creating one for the first time is a great idea.
Of course you shouldn't spend all day on Facebook, as just like everything it's about balance, this is just a reminder that it can help keep you relaxed and entertained to ensure you can enjoy these years as much as possible. Emma xx I cannot believe I am about to post my very own BATH AND BODY WORKS HAUL. I am a major bath and body works lover and when I heard that there was a store opening at Sydney Domestic Airport I was beyond excited. Today I am going to share my haul and a mini review on what you can expect from the only Australian store. The store is located near gate 35 in T2 at Sydney Domestic Airport. The store only offers the signature collection items in the body care. There is also some spa and male body care items as well. The candles however were a massive let down. There were only about 6 scents to choose from (Sweet Pea, Mahogany Teakwood, Cherry Blossom, Lavender Vanilla, Sea Island Cotton and Eucalyptus Mint) with a few more scents being offered in the smaller one wick candle. The majority of the pricing was double the U.S, however they were still offering good deals like the American stores do. PRICING
The greatest time of the year has come again. The shopping centres have put up their decorations, the stores are playing carols on repeat and Gloria Jeans is serving praline lattes in red christmas cups. Shops can become overwhelming at this time of year and it is always best to go in prepared. My mum does this by having an excel spreadsheet with the names of all the people we're giving gifts to and types up present ideas to print off and take to the shops. The bonus of this is that when next year comes you will never forget what you bought that person = no double ups, it's a win win. With this in mind I have put together a few gift ideas for your friends/family members based on various interests and price ranges. Hopefully this can inspire gift ideas for those people you have no idea what to get. Happy shopping xx Click photo to buy
Today my family and I went for lunch at the new shopping centre at The Ponds. We found the trendy little cafe, Leaf Cafe, that had beautiful wooden decor and hanging industrial style lights. The large open windows and glass doors also let the afternoon sunshine in to keep warm. I tried the 'Green' juice which was absolutely DELICIOUS. It had apple, pear, spinach and kale and had a sour apple taste which I loved. The packaging was extra cute as well. To eat I had the beef burger which was also very tasty. It was a great size - not too massive, easy to hold and not overly filling. Over all the experience was lovely, very friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere.
The menu also offers a large array of speciality coffees and organic teas as well as milkshakes and iced chocolates/coffees. Food wise there was a large list of various all day breakfast items such as mueslis, pancakes, a selection of breads and a wide variety of traditional bacon and egg combinations. For lunch there was mainly sandwiches, wraps and burgers with some seasonal salad/soup specials. There are also many sweet treats on display as well. Love and giggles Emma xxx Using a cake stand is an easy and unique way to store all your nail polishes or beauty needs. This storage idea is also an inexpensive way to leave your polishes out on display in a way that ensures you are able to see your whole selection.
My cake stand is old stock from Target Australia, however these stands are easy to find in any homewares/kitchenware store or department store. Love and giggles xx The next few months of mine are going to be filled with intense studying and schoolwork before I finally graduate in FIVE months. When I'm studying I love having smoothies to keep me energised and help pay attention to what I'm learning. Berries are amazing for keeping the brain healthy as they have high levels of antioxidants that protect the cells from damage, prevent inflammation and improve cognitive health. Blueberries are also considered to be a food that will help with memory.
My videos from the amazing (first) OTRA show in Sydney, 7th February. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Love and giggles xx
Fresh juices are one of my favourite drinks to make and sip on. I love adding all the fruit I have into my blender and seeing which bright - or not so bright - colour it creates. Lately I have been trying different green juice recipes and have created my own one. To my surprise it actually turned out to be of a vibrant green hue rather than a deeper brown which was my usual end result. I also love having these juices in the morning or after I exercise as they not only make me feel good but also replenish lost nutrients. These juices can also have many health benefits based on what you mix together. To make this green juice: (serves 1)
It is best to drink the juice straight away or within 20 minutes to receive the mose nutritional benefits. |
