Last weekend I pieced together possibly one of my most favourite outfits ever. I wore this look for a day out shopping in Sydney and it ticked all my boxes - looked good, felt comfortable and was breathable in the Summer heat.
The crop top sits nicely on the body and allows for a light breeze. The lightweight material also makes it extremely comfortable to wear walking around all day. The skirt was also very soft and comfortable and sat nicely on the waist line. For shoes I chose my new pair of Nine West sandals. I'm in love with the style of this shoe as it is very unique and interesting and is made from a mesh which also makes it breathable and cooling in the summer time. For accessories I chose a small black cross body bag and my classic 'Please Return' Tiffany & Co. bracelet. I styled my hair in a low, some-what messy bun with two black bow clips. Overall I think this is a very classic and trendy Summer outfit. Top - Miss Shop at MYER Skirt - Miss Shop at MYER Shoes - Nine West Bag - Forever New Bracelet - Tiffany & Co. Bow Clips - Colette

Last week H&M opened its FIRST EVER SYDNEY STORE in the new section of the Macquarie Centre shopping centre. The refreshed centre also features many other favourites including Zara and Mecca Maxima as well as stores to be opened later this year including Victoria's Secret and Forever 21. On my day out I picked up many bargains from H&M, MYER and Glassons to update my Summer wardrobe. MissShop Department clothing 30-75% off listed price

At the moment I have been LOVING the Butter London 'pillar box red' polish. The colour is a nice, solid red which adds a little pop of colour to a predominately monochromatic outfit without screaming the summer months.
I also like to wear deep purples and blues, especially glittery ones. Another favourite of mine is to paint my nails black and go over the top with a coat of silver glitter. I love this look as it adds a little glamour to a sophisticated look. Emma xx What's trending for the cooler months

With the glitzy, dreamy couture dresses from Paris Fashion Week coming to a close, I have decided on my two favourite collections. I absolutely adored every single dress from Elie Saab and Georges Hobeika. The looks from their runways were incredible. I love the pretty, pastel and wearable designs from Georges Hobeika and the simple, elegant and well-detailed designs from Elie Saab. I loved the Chanel runway, especially the eye make-up with the black winged eyeliner and glittery 'disco' eyes underneath, however I wasn't a fan on the sneakers-on-the-runway look, especially for couture. Total adoration for the Chanel make-up. I love how natural and simple the whole look is with the glitter detailing being the star of the show. It worked well with the show lights and the simplistic designs. I also like how the sparkle tied in with the sneakers and really let the Chanel collection stand out.
The first of the major award shows of 2014 kicked off on Sunday, January 12 with the 71st Annual Grammy Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The ceremony celebrated the hard work in the television and movie industry over the last year with an attendance by many famous on screen faces. The highly anticipated red carpet this year showed a wide collection of high-end designs with a colour spectrum which seemed to be populated by reds, whites and black. i was not amazed at the majority of the dresses this year as they all felt a bit boring with nothing 'wowing' me. Although many of the looks were quite mediocre, I managed to decide on a favourite dress and a favourite hair and make-up look.

Beach
My Summer beach wear essentials include a colourful swimsuit, large beach bag to fit all your junk in, sunglasses, thongs, a dress or cover-up, floppy hat and a beach towel. To see what I bring in my beach bag click here. I don't normally wear make-up at the beach and throw my hair up into a messy bun which usually hasn't been brushed yet..oops Resort My resort style consists of a flowy sun dress with a calm white or blue print paired with some detailed sandals and stacked bracelets. This look gives an elegant island resort style vibe and is ideal for beach side shopping or lunches in the Summer. For make-up, go for a light, natural face with concealer and BB cream as it is not as heavy as foundation and can come with SPF. For the eyes, a brandy or light gold tones with a hint of shimmer look effortlessly natural. A small wisp of mascara and some nude lip gloss will with a small dust of bronzer give a natural summer glow. I like to wear my hair up or styled as it gets hot in the sun and keeps me cooler. Try a styled bun or textured pony tail. Night Time When I go out at night in the Summer I like to wear maxi dresses or mullet dresses. I think they are perfect for this time as they are cool for the hot weather but add an elegant look for the time of day. For the colours, go for warmer tones that mirror the sunset such as light purples, oranges, yellows, pinks and salmons. A small detailed clutch is a great accessory as it adds some 'glam' and sparkle to the night and is ideal for holding a phone and lipstick. For make-up I like to apply darker colours to my eyes with eyeshadow shades like bronze and gold to add more depth and style to my face. I usually apply more mascara for the night and a brighter lipstick to compliment my outfit. For hair I'll leave some out with a small braid or put it all into a messy side fish tail braid - depending on the neckline of my dress and accessories.
